ATMs Stolen in DC and PGCo (Demo)

Times are tight out here but they aren’t that tight.  Two ATMs were stolen today.  The first robbery took place in Fort Washington today (August 2, 2013) at around 3:45 am, at the Exxon Mobil gas station in the 10800 block of Indian Head Highway for a theft. Two suspects smashed a dark-colored pickup truck through the front of the gas station and pushed the ATM into the bed of the truck. The suspects then drove off with the ATM.
 
 
ATM MachineJust hours after the  Fort Washington Exxon station robbery, another Exxon gas station in Northeast Washington had its cash machine taken as well.   The DC robbery happened at the Exxon at 2651 Benning Road NE just after 7:15 a.m., MPD spokesperson Ofc. Tisha Gant said. Police say two men loaded station’s ATM into the back of a black pickup truck and fled.
 Authorities describe one of the suspsects as a 6-foot-2 black man wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a mask. This robbery came less than four hours after two suspects smashed a dark-colored truck into an Exxon station on Indian Head Highway and took their ATM. Prince George’s County Police say the cash machine had about $1,500 inside when it was stolen.  It’s not known whether or not the two robberies are connected but Prince George’s County Police are investigating these robberies as connected.
