Breaking News: Same Sex Marriage Bill Passed in Maryland (Demo)

It’s a dark day in Maryland for some and a celebratory one for others.  Same sex marriage legislation was passed by the Maryland Legislature today.  Governor O’Malley has already said he will sign the bill into law but not before opposing forces try everything to bring this matter to a referendum challenge and a vote on the November 2012 ballot.  The date the bill is set to go into effect is January 1, 2013.

How did the Prince George’s County delegation vote:

James Rosapepe, District 21: YES

Joanne Benson, District 24: NO

Ulysses Currie, District 25: NO

C. Anthony Muse, District 26: NO

Thomas V. Mike Miller, District 27: NO
