It’s Monday. Yay? (Demo)

I’m tired and been in a random writing mood since Friday so here is everything I find post-able for this morning.  Now it’s Monday morning and I’m tired from covering the Maryland Fashion Week fashion show and having to get up at 5:00AM.  So today folks, it’s gonna be a fun ride.  Chris Rock has a new show, PGCo Board of Education hires recruiter, and a murder related to a fight over food.

TRAVIS Hoskins, not David

Some DUMMY in Capitol Heights murdered another young man inside their home.  Their dispute, according to police, was over food.  Take a look at this young man’s face.  He has a tattoo on his face that reads “David.”  You might think that to be his name but NOOOO.  His name is Travis, he’s 19 years old and he is currently under arrest for the murder of Oliver Gregson Davis.  On Saturday August 11, 2012, around 1:54 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 700 block of Glacier Avenue in Capitol Heights for a call of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found Davis, 29, of the 700 block of Glacier Avenue, fatally shot inside the residence.  He was pronounced dead on scene.  The investigation revealed Hoskins and Davis resided together in the home.  Both Hoskins and Davis were arguing over food when Hoskins retrieved a firearm and fatally shot Davis. Hoskins fled the scene, and was captured today by the PGPD.
Prince George’s County Board of Education has contracted the firm Hazard, Young, Attea, and Associates to recruit and help with the hiring process for a new Superintendent.  The firm is based in Rosemont, IL, and according to The Patch, “PGCPS worked with the executive search firm previously, the release stated, and the firm has worked with neighboring counties— Montgomery, Howard and Anne Arundel— with their searches.”
D-Raw, DeShawn RawChris Rock will be executive producing a new show on Comedy Central.  From Deadline: Comedy Central has given a pilot order to D-Raw, a sketch comedy show executive produced by Chris Rock and starring young comedian Deshawn Raw who described himself as, “Just a new comedian trying to make it out the hood with the team so we don’t end up statistics.” The show is comprised of sketches featuring Deshawn and his diverse group of friends based on their personal experiences as they make fun of themselves and their lives in Rancho Cucamonga. The sketches include rap battles and the guys’ take on all things pop culture.”  What really struck me about this what Deshawn Raw said in describing his pursuit…trying to make it out the hood…so we don’t end up statistics.  Now look at that photo of Travis Hoskins with the David tattoo on his face.  Guess we’ll all be watching Comedy Central new show “D-Raw.”
