Mitt Romney is Crazy (Demo)

Mother Jones released video of Mitt Romney at a private fundraiser in Boca Raton, FL.  He speaks to these $50k a plate donors about the improbable prospect of peace in the Middle East, the threat of nuclear arms from Iran being smuggled into the U.S., and other various asunder foreign policy issues.  Of the people in the good ol’ U.S. of A., Romney states that “47 % of the people who will vote for the President no matter what…who believe that government has a responsibility to take care of them…these are people who pay no income tax…so my job is to not worry about these people…I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care of their lives… what I have to do is convince the 5% to 10% in the center that are independent that are thoughtful…voting in some cases on emotion, whether they like the guy or not.”

I’m in the center and I’ve decided that I don’t like you Mitt Romney.  You’re a liar and a cheat.
I researched that 47% statistics and found that it’s a lie; SEE HERE at Politicususa.com.  I researched information on the conservative sites like TaxPolicy.org, but I found that they skewed their stats to try to make it look like the ultra wealthy are footing the lion’s share of the U.S. tax bill, but they’re not.  THE TRUTH is only about 14% of people in the U.S. don’t pay any taxes and I’m sure you know this, or I hope that you know this.  The people NOT paying, who Romney so callously referred to as entitlement grubbing, free loaders are, in fact, mostly disabled and/or senior citizens.  I’d almost prefer that the Romney camp know that they’re lying rather than believe that the stuff they put out there is the truth.  He characterizes those who voted for Obama as welfare recipients.  That’s the gist of it.  Voter turnout in 2008 surged by 5 million due in large part to increased voting by Black people and women.  So you sum up who Romney is saying needs to “take personal responsibility” for their lives.

Another disturbing tidbit from the videos is Romney’s disdain for the President’s charisma.  He really seems to think that President Obama is naive and believes that his magnetism will make world leaders stop doing “bad things.”  You gotta hear this for yourself.  Our President hunted down Osama bin Laden in Pakistan and is forging ahead with foreign policy that is thoughtful and pro-U.S.

Here he comes off like the over-indulged, far right, jealous frat boy that he is.  Romney is rich and white so that means he should win.  If we are to believe Romney, then President Obama’s intelligence and experience with foreign policy plays no part in his success.  It is only because of President Obama’s “persuasiveness is so compelling that he can sit down with people like Putin and Chávez and Ahmadinejad, and that they’ll find that we’re such wonderful people that they’ll go on with us, and they’ll stop doing bad things,” according to Romney.  Mitt Romney went on to says of his lineage and privilege, that if he had Mexican grandparents, “I’d have a better shot of winning this.”
Wow.  Just wow.  If you want to vote for Mitt Romney, believe that he represents your interests, and will have compassion for the bulk of this nation, that is your choice.  If you look at the donors on this list and listen to what Romney is saying to this crowd of people shoveling $50k plates down their gullets, and you hear him speaking for you then go ahead, vote for him.  If you listen to Mitt Romney at this fundraiser when he thought he was out of earshot of the machinist, the teacher, the new law school grad, the small business person and enlisted military personnel, the minorities, the women, firefighters, and everyone else who keeps this country alive, and you hear a voice that will represent your interests, then you are very, very rich and very, very deaf to anything that I could ever say to you.
If, however, you hear what I hear, you better get out and vote.
