More Snowy Weather Coming (Demo)

We got through the big ol’ snow flakes, some sleet, and the cold.  NOW the weather services are saying Tuesday could bring accumulating snow during the day on Tuesday.  Remember the last time that happened in 2011?  BIG MESS! Federal workers were released but because the thundersnow storm hadn’t reared its ugly face, commuters were lulled into a false sense of security.  Later that afternoon, everyone hit the slushy slick roads at the same time and what ensued was pure pandemonium.  Let’s not do that again.  I don’t anticipate any Tuesday morning federal closings by OPM or Prince George’s County, but if the roads become slick tomorrow, as I’m sure they will, be prepared for schools to close early.
Weather.com snowfall predictionThere are varying accounts of what’s coming our way.  I’m hearing everything from one inch to four and five inches.  Uuuurgh, hate that.  All accounts agree that Prince George’s County is under a winter storm warning.
nbcwashington snow forecastNBC4 Washington predicts tomorrow will bring 2-4 inches in our area tomorrow from 8am to 4pm. Weather.com, my personal favorite, predicts rain and snow 0n Tuesday morning starting around 7:30am turning to all snow in the afternoon into the evening rush hour. Some sleet may mix in. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.  I watched the weather.com video below and the prediction was for 3-5 inches.  Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
