SO MUCH THIS WEEKEND: Maryland Fashion Week, FREE Movies at National Harbor and Glenn Dale, Oxon Hill Block Party, Mall at Prince George’s Back to School Expo, Open Mic at Busboys and Poets,  and a Juke Joint Saturday BBQ.

 

Friday, August 12th

Movies on the Potomac at National Harbor showing  “Friday Night Lights.”  Movies begin just after sunset and it’s free to the public.  Lawn chairs are recommended, no coolers with food or alcohol are allowed.

Drive-In Movie at Glenn Dale Splash Park Showing ‘Spy Kids’, 11901 Glenn Dale Blvd., Glenn Dale. Cost is $5 for 17 & Under, $6 for adults.  More information here.

Maryland Fashion Week Industry Networking Social at Peachez Cafe and Lounge, 5010 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, 8:00pm-11:00pm.

Saturday, August 13th

The Mall at Prince Georges First Annual Back to School Expo:  10:00am – 4:00pm.  This educational event will provide parents access to one stop access to valuable information and services for the whole family, including health and safety information, plus community resources.  Meet Justine Love from WPGC-FM 95.5.  Free lunch bags for the kids, while supplies last. 3500 East West Highway, Hyattsville
