Polls Say Gay Marriage & Gambling A Go (Demo)

The Washington Post reports, “A ballot question on whether to uphold a state law allowing gay nuptials is favored 52 percent to 43 percent among likely voters, according to the poll, reflecting a long-term trend toward greater acceptance of gay unions that has included President Obama’s backing this year.”
See Poll for yourself and tell me what you think.  Have I mentioned that I’ve been voting my entire adult life and never been polled?
OH MY GOODNESS!!! A poll from Clarity Campaign Labs gives results that only 35% of Marylanders oppose gambling expansion into Prince George’s County and 17% are undecided.  Clarity survey 1,091 County residents October 14th and 15th.  No one called ME!  Well maybe they called and it’s possible that I may have hung up.  If you sound like a telemarketer and it’s around my dinner time, dinner wins every time.
Tom Bonier, partner and co-founder of Clarity Campaign Labs, said the excitement gap may be due to the presidential race. “The voters who are not excited are much more likely to be Republicans,” he said, noting that Maryland is almost a sure win for President Obama in November.

No one polled me either. I don’t put any stock in any of them. They are often unreliable and it all depends on which pool of people are asked questions. The group administering a poll can skew the data in any direction. The results from this poll will not change my voting decision.
