Tanger Outlet is coming to Oxon Hill Road area. Are the roads ready? The new transportation projects from the gas tax funding include projects for connectors at Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue and Suitland Parkway, and $100 million for a new interchange on Maryland Route 210 at Kerby Hill-Livingston Road, but even in my directionally challenged world, I don’t see these things greatly helping to relieve the inevitable congestion. The mall’s expected completion date is October 2013. Yes, THIS October 2013, right in time for Christmas shopping. Man they better
From NBC4’s Tracee Wilkins, “An upscale outlet mall is set to open in south Prince George’s County, and with it, it is expected to bring added traffic to already-congested Highway 210. The Tanger Outlets along Oxon Hill Road are scheduled for opening in October 2013 at the National Harbor. The outlets, along with the possibility of a new casino, have bumped up the Indian Head Highway road construction project to the top of the state’s road work list.”
