Caribbean Food & Wine Festival in Brandywine this Saturday, Get Kids Movin' at The Boulevard, Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival, and The Q Day of Gospel Music at Marlborough Village

Folks, I’m going to enjoy this early Autumn weather and chill this weekend.  I was out and about last weekend with the Taste of Prince George’s Wine & Food Festival and Maryland’s Seafood Festival.  I kinda need a break but I can’t promise you that I won’t pop up at the Caribbean Food & Wine Festival happening in Brandywine, Maryland this Saturday.  Also happening Get Kids Movin’ at The Boulevard, Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival, and The Q Day of Gospel Music at Marlborough Village on Brown Station Road

Caribbean Food and Wine Festival 2013Saturday September 14 marks the 3rd Annual Caribbean Food and Wine Festival.  The event is happening at the Brandywine Rotary Club, 11501 Cherry Tree Crossing Road, Cheltenham, MD 20623. This is one of the first large scale Wine Event in the Prince George’s County, Maryland for all to enjoy which starts at 1pm-10pm with local Reggae Bands and all genre of Caribbean Cultural Music and Food. Three awarding wining Reggae Wines (Red, Blush and White) will be available for tasting.  Admission is $15 at Eventbrite, $19 at Groupon, and $20 at the event.

Hyattsville Arts Festival 2013Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival and festivities will take place Saturday, September 14th, 11am-5pm at Baltimore/Rhode Island Avenue & Eastern Avenue in the Gateway Arts District of Prince George’s County.  Please see the website HERE for directions by car and subway.  Join us in the newly opened retail town center anchored by Busboys and Poets and Yes! Organic Market along with several fine retailers and restaurants. Multiple galleries, shops, and exhibiting artists will be open onsite and throughout the Gateway Arts District, for a showing of more than 100 local artisans throughout the Gateway Arts District. See over 70 exhibiting artists, enjoy live entertainment and eat some great food on the happening streets of Hyattsville, in the Gateway Arts District of Prince George’s County.

Get Kids Movin 1Get Kids Movin’ is back for another year to inspire all ages to healthy living. Get Kids Movin!, the FREE, energetic event designed to prevent childhood obesity, returns to The BLVD at the Capital Centre for its “Fall, Fitness, FOCUS Edition”.  Saturday, September 14, 2013, 1:00-4:30 pm, at The Boulevard near Restaurant Row FREE ADMISSION.
